Ibm Netvista 8387

I cant get my IBM to boot the fans kick in when I turn it on But the monitor Will Not it acts like it Has no Ram I have 2 sets of Ram pc2100 and 2700 but still don't do anything I went through the Manuel did not really see much I don't even get any beeps !

Possible power supply fault. If it supplies +12v to the fans but no +5v to the logic board that would give those symptoms. If you have a multimeter check that all the outputs from the power supply are present. Be aware that if you unplug the connector from the motherboard it will not power up. There are interlocks on the PCB. Pins need to be linked to power the power supply away from the unit.

You could also have a cpu fault but that should produce beeps. Is the speaker connected? Is there a beeper on the M/B?
