Ink System Failure-ink System Has Failed Unable To Copy Or Receive Faxes

Hello normagil44,

There are a couple of things you can try to resolve this issue.

A) To be performed exactly as described:

Press button to turn the printer off.
Unplug power cord from the back of the printer.
Remove all ink cartridges and wait two minutes.
After the twominutes pass, plug the power cord back into the printer.
Press the button to turn the printer on.
Install ink cartridges when prompted.

If the error code does not display, the issue is resolved.

B) You may need to repeat the following steps (up to 2 more times) when attempting to clear the error:

Hold down the following four buttons at the same time
While still pressing on these 4 buttons, turn the power off
When the shut down sequence completes, release the 4 buttons (Do NOT release the buttons before this, or you will need to start over) and wait two minutes
After the two minutes pass, press the button to turn printer on and wait for it to completely come back up (be patient as this will take more than a few minutes while going through the cycles.

Once completed, the "Ink system" error should be gone

If, after performing the above steps, the ink system error code is still present on the front panel, then the printer will likely need to be serviced (or even consider purchasing a new one altogether).
