My Canon Power Shot A1400 Lens Is Stuck

The lens on my camera is not retract and i am getting a error message saying, LENS ERROR WILL SHUT DOWN AUTOMATICALLY RESTART CAMERA.Please can you please tell me how to rectify this problem?I am not able to restart the camera as stated in the error message.
