WAS LIGHTNING FAST TIL IT QUIT

I REPLACED AN ALMOST ANTIQUE BARRICADE SINGLE PORT MODEM WITH THE NETGEAR DGN2200 MODEM ROUTER. IT WORKED LIGHTENING FAST AND SHOWED STREAMED VIDEO WITH ONLY OCCASIONAL INTERRUPTIONS TO LOAD, AND I WAS PLEASED WITH IT TIL ONE DAY, OUT OF NOWHERE IT COMPLETELY LOST ITS ABILITY TO CONNECT TO THE INTERNET. ALL COMPUTERS WE HAVE CAN ACCESS IT AND I CAN LOG INTO IT AND READ AND CHANGE SETTINGS ALL LIGHTS WORK NORMALLY ON THE FRONT EXCEPT THE ONE THAT LOOKS LIKE A HEADSET WITH ONE SPEAKER. THAT ONE ALONE IS RED. IT FLASHES GREEN AT TURN ON, THEN GOES RED AGAIN. INFO SEEMS LIKE MIGHT BE SENT AND RECEIVED BUT CANNOT ACCESS ANY WEBSITES. HOOKED UP OLD BARRICADE IN ITS PLACE AND BACK TO NORMAL ALBEIT SLOW OPERATION. I SEE THERE ARE NUMEROUS SETTINGS IN MANUAL TO PURPOSELY MAKE MODEM NOT WORK IN VARIOUS WAYS. RESET TO FACTORY SETTINGS NO HELP. ITS ONLY A COUPLE OF MONTHS OLD. NOT HAPPY WITH HOW LONG IT LASTED.NO INFO ON CUST SERVICE YET BUT FORCED TO RATE IT TO POST.
