My Cd Rom Stopped Working (will Not Open, And Won't Read Cd's)what Do I Do?

If I force open in using the pinhole and put a cd in it, it will not read it. If I go to my computer to the cd drive and right click and select eject it says there is an error and cannot complete the task. Is there a known solution? If not how do I go about replacing the drive and with what replacent drive is my best selection?

Obviously, there is only one possible problems with your eMachines laptop computer and this is associated with the CD ROM drive (hardware) parts. The best thing you can do is to determine if there is really a problem with the hardware part of the CD ROM by checking it if there is a light indicator reading the CD media.

If this problem is still persistent, you have to consider replacing the CD ROM drive with an external CD ROM drive. It is stil better to purchase a new CD ROM drive than experimenting it just to repair the hardware.
