I Have Emachines T6522, Trying To Install New Dvd/cd Drive Using Ide/sata Adapte

How do I install new DVD/cd drive, using Sata/IDE adapter. computer does not recognize it, what do I have to enable in BIOS? Thanks for your time.

Ok first enable it in the bios if after this the pc didnt recognize it than do diagnostic test it will tell you the problem

And one more thing reinstall operating system again via usb flash drive

Than it will recognize it.
