Install Win Xp On E355

Is it possible to install Win XP on emachine 355? Win Starter is the worst thing ever happend and an upgrade to a later WIN7 will just slow the netbook down. Win XP would be the best system if one has to install Windows. So are there drivers for Win XP available? I couldn't find any. Is it possible to install a different system like Ubuntu for example? Cheers
