No Sound With My Sharp Aquos Led

I followed all of the directions and even tried turning off my internal speakers on my TV. Still don't have sound. The optical output wire works fine with my Bluray player and cable box but not my TV. I don't have a coaxial output on my TV. What do u suggest I try now?
