Camera Binocs Cv-1025v: Mycamera Software Won't Recognize The Camera In Usb Slot

I'm trying to access the images from my digital camera binoculars cv-1025v, but the camera is not recognized by the software after attaching to USB slot with cord.  When opening the MYCAMERA software, the error msg shows "Cannot connect to camera!"  Batteries in camera are brand new. Could it be a problem with the USB cord, or is there something else I can check?  Cord was used once before.
