'no Signal' Connecting Toshiba Tdp S20 To Laptop

I have connected my Toshiba TDP S20 to my laptop (checked all cables are inserted correctly) but it is not picking up my PP presentation. I have pressed the Input button and it has checked each input/output but is not finding my laptop so I am getting a No Signal/blank blue screen.
