Toshiba S3000-x4 Laptop
I have just purchased tis laptop without an ac adapter. Looking at the charger input the dc socket is missing. Is the dc input and battery charger on a separate board or on the motherboard. The case doesn't appear to have been opened, I wonder if the socket has been pulled out with the plug, or has the charger board been removed. I shall open it up and repair it but will be in trouble if a board has been removed. Hope you can help. Regards Don Pratt

I am pretty certain that the s3000 had a soldered connection on the power jack, like the ones on this page.

The power jack is soldered to the motherboard- so no seperate power board.- it is likely that the power jack has been pulled out compltely, if no pin is in there.
