Thermal Light Stays Red Don't Turn Green

That means that the temperature is at an unsafe level (as you may know). See the fourth and fifth bulleted Precautions at https://www.manualslib.com/manual/483692/Sony-Xm-404eqx.html?page=6&term=temperature&selected=3.
