Have Prob Downloading Music From Computer Media To Sony Experia Compact Xp

I have Windows Media Player on my computer where all my music is stored. I have managed to transfer several CD titles to my Sony Xperia Compact but recently when I have dragged titles to be syncronised all the titles come back with a ticked box showing 'error. and will not sync. There is plently of memory on the phone to take more music so not sure what is causing the problem. I have tried transfering one CD at a time and that does not seem to work. I have ended up putting the music onto my old Blackberry as I need it for my holidays. Could anyone pease give me an 'idiots guide' to show me where I am goig wrong and put me right please.
