Sony Kp-61hs30 - 61' Hi-scan 1080i™ Projection Tv
Hello I have the aboved mentioned television which I purchased in 2003. A couple days ago while viewing a movie the screen started turning GREEN. What can be done to correct this?

Projection TV's use mirrors to reflect the images from three red,green, and blue projectors. If a mirror is out of alignment then the picture will look bad. Try viewing this video, it may help. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=esk4nYZKFcg. These things are usually best handled by a service shop. If the circuitry has failed they can fix that or they can just realign the mirrors for you.

This is either the green picture tube or the driver board. I researched the parts and both are no longer available, but if it's the driver board a technician can rebuilt it. expect a bill for $200-$300.
If it's the tube, sometimes you can tap on the neck of the green tube and the short might break free. Take the front apart to access the tube necks and driver boards. Blow the dust off the driver boards, and tap on the center tube neck and watch the picture for changes.
