What Does The Message E5 On A Singer 7256 Fashion Mate Means

what does the message E5 on a singer 7256 fashion mate means and how can it be fixed.when the foot pedal is pressed the needle goes down as if it's going to sew then stop and display the message E5 please help me and thanks
