New Singer 7256 Does Not Work

I have recently bought a singer 7256 when trying to use it for the first time and i was following all the instrctions as mentioned in the user guide, i noticed the following : when i switched it on from the power switch, the light is on and the lcd screen has the normal information as stated in the users guide. but when trying to begin sewing by pressing the foot-pedal , the needle starts to go down into the fabric and suddenly stops and there is a beep sound and the lcd screen gives error message( e5 ) when trying to turn it off and trying to make it work again using a thinner fabric ,the same problem exists when trying to fill the bobbin , the spinnig of the bobbin spool is slow and with irregular speed and  the motor gives a strange sound.
