Samsung 50' Dlp Wont Stay On
I have a Samsung 50" DLP cant remember off the top of my head but its either a HLP5063WX or a HLP5067WX, and I saw your site about changing the lamp. I have an issue and was thinking you might be able to help? I recently bought the TV, well, almost a year ago for cheap….like $75, the owner didn’t want it he already got a new LCD, it needed a new lamp and that was it. I got the lamp, replaced it and it worked….until about a month ago. It started to take a minute to 2 minutes to actually come one sometimes…not all the time, just sometimes, and other times it would fire right up…..then it just stopped coming on all together, it tried and tried and tried, actually 3 times to come on, but all I got was sound and no picture, then it would shut off after about 45 to 60 seconds, then it would try it again and the same thing and then once more…..then after the 3rd try of coming on…. all 3 lights would be blinking and that was that. I checked out the lamp and it seemed fine, besides it was less than a year old anyways, second generation from discount-merchants. Could it still be the lamp? Possible ballast?? I did here the clicking sound when I turned it on like it was trying to come on but never did…...
