Scan Documents
connection has failed check settings and check scanned file status. i need help what do i do to fix this

If you were able to scan before, then there is problem a network connection error somewhere. Some things to check:
- Make sure both your SMTP and DNS servers are up and running.
- Make sure none of the folder passwords (if you use scan to folder) have changed recently. If they have, change them in the copier's address book so they match.
- See if you can print. If you can print but you can't scan, check your firewall and security settings; something is not letting the scans go through.
- If you can't print or scan, check the network cable and try replacing it with a known-good cable.
If you have never been able to scan:
- Make sure the folder path, user name and password (for scan to folder) or SMTP server name (for scan to email) are entered correctly.
- For scan to folder, make sure the folder is shared and that the correct permissions are assigned.
- Check your firewall settings to make sure file sharing is allowed.
