Preform 995, Changes Speeds Up/down While Running... Then Stops. ?

It sounds like you have a short circuit in your controller. Unplug the treadmill and remove the motor hood cover. Now find the speed control that gives you the signal from the controller to your motor. Unplug the connector from the controller and replace the motor hood cover. Now plug in the treadmill. If it still speeds up during power up, you have a bad Controller.
