To reset the Panasonic SCHTB170 soundbar, you can follow these steps:

1. Ensure that the power to the soundbar is turned off. You can do this by disconnecting the power cord from the wall outlet or turning off the power switch if there is one.

2. Locate the buttons on the soundbar itself. There should be a power button and a few other control buttons.

3. Press and hold the power button on the soundbar for about 10-15 seconds. This will discharge any remaining power and reset the device.

4. After holding the power button, release it and wait for a few moments.

5. Reconnect the power cord to the wall outlet or turn the power switch back on.

There are two ways to reset your Panasonic SC-HTB170 soundbar:

Factory reset

Turn off the soundbar and unplug it from the power outlet.

Hold down the Power button and the HDMI button on the soundbar at the same time.

While still holding down the buttons, plug the soundbar back into the power outlet.

Release the buttons after about 5 seconds.

Soft reset

Turn off the soundbar and unplug it from the power outlet.

Wait for 10 seconds.

Plug the soundbar back into the power outlet.

Turn on the soundbar.

The factory reset will erase all of your saved settings, so make sure to back them up before you do it. The soft reset will not erase any of your settings.

Here are some additional tips for resetting your Panasonic SC-HTB170 soundbar:

Make sure that the soundbar is turned off before you start the reset process.

If you are using a surge protector, make sure that it is turned off before you start the reset process.

If the reset process does not work, try restarting your TV.
