Panasonic Stereo Modle Sa-ht400
my stereo plays for a short time then shuts off on display screen it reads f70. not sure what to do

error code F70 refers to "Abnormal communication between peripehral LST and Micro computer". This indicates that the u-processor is unable to detect preence of or correction operration of some of the critical components while doing a diagnostics scan. Because of this, the system is halted to prevent further damage. This is more of a logic flow error although of course, absence of a secondary voltage from the power supply would result to a similar symptom if not error code. Other than a fuse, check/replace bulging or leaking capacitors.
