Please wait message stays on. I have tried unplugging and replugging to no avail. Can't get anything else on fax to work wihile please wait message is on.

From the troubleshooting section of the manual : PLEASE WAIT!
The unit is warming up. Wait for a while.
1. Press Menu .
2. Rotate Jog Dial until the following is
displayed: Display [advanced Mode]
Press Set and rotate Jog Dial until
the desired feature is displayed.
3. Press SET .
SET DEFAULT:
To reset on advanced features to their default settings.
1. Follow steps 1-3 on page 58.
2. Rotate Jog Dial to select
"YES".
3. Press Set .
4. Press Set again.
5. Press MENU
