No Video Output On Power Up. Why?
When I power on my system, there is no video output on the first try(ONKYO logo does not display and no video from sources). Audio always works fine from source such as cable/sat input. If I power down the unit and power on again, it might work OK, but it usually requires several power cycles to start working (shows ONKYO logo and then video from source is displayed).

It may be a cold solder joint on the main board, since after many tries it will get the video signal. As a last resort before repairs, attempt a Soft Reset and the if the problem is still present try a Factory Reset. A factory reset will bring the unit to the factory default settings and is a clear way to determine if the problem is hardware or software related.
Factory Reset:
To reset the AV controller to its factory defaults, turn
it on and, while holding down VCR/DVR, press
ON/STANDBY. "Clear" will appear on the display
and the AV controller will enter Standby mode.
