How Do I Reset My Magellan?

my magellan roadmate1424 is frozen on a previous location and wont give me a current location.

Can you cycle the power so it will reset itself. I don't know if they changed the 1424 or not but the reset on mine is integral with the power switch.
Push it to the left to turn it on, or push it to the right to reset it. This is from the off position of course
