Based on my research, your MSI VR600 is compatible with Windows Vista and Windows XP Operating Systems because the driver software is available for download here:

You have to use the Windows Vista/XP installer to reformat your newly installed hard disk drive. I provided the necessary links below for your easy purchase and guide in the reformatting and installation process.
