Black Screen, Missing Operating System On Msi X410 Laptop On Bootup

I got the above message, deleting files while pressing f3 for the recovery procedure. Because it was taking too long to delete the files during the recovery procedure, I shut down the laptop improperly. When I tried to boot it up afterwards, I got the black screen, missing operating system message. I do not want the files at all. The msi x410 laptop does not have a cd or a dvd drive, and I cannot connect to the internet at all. I do have a USB flash drive, however. I obviously got the black screen, missing operating system message because the laptop was improperly shutdown during the recovery procedure, pressing f3 to delete the files. I have windows 7 installed. How should I fix this problem? Is it worth recovering the msi laptop to original factory settings, so that all of the information on my hard drive is wiped off? I do not want the files that I had on my hard drive. I look forward to getting you reply.
