Blocked Black Ink
My Lexmark S815 does not print BLACK, can you please advise what I need to do?

Please try updating the firmware of your printer. Just go to http://bit.ly/ghfW8H to download the firmware update.
If the firmware update doesn't help, please perform a maintenance on the cartridges. To do that, on the control panel of your printer, press on the Ink Levels > More Options > Deep Clean Printhead.
If it still doesn't help, please contact our technical support team. It could be a problem with the black cartridge.

I had the saem problem with my black ink on my s800 printer. After numerous calls to Lexmark and them FINALLY sending me a new printhead which did not work,they finally sent me a new printer. I am now having the same problem with the yellow ink. This printer has been nothing but trouble from the start. I am ready to get rid of it and change brands. I am not going to deal with Lexmark support again and be without a print color for weeks. I constantly deep clean the printhead and my firmware is up to date...it does that itself with it's "smart solutions".
There is obviously a defect in this printer. Lexmark said it was probabaly a hardware problem with mine but I don't believe that when I see someone else having the same issue. It is a faulty printer!
Good luck dealing with Lexmark, I hope you don't need your black ink for a few weeks. If they DO send you a new printer be prepared for the next color to go out! Very Frustrating!
