Dim Logon Screen
My BIOS screen is nice and bright. Once the computer has booted, everything is nice and bright. In between, there is a problem. The actual logon screen in Linux comes up so dim that I can barely make anything out on it. That's not usually a problem, since I know what to enter, but the other day I was trying to run some diagnostics before boot, and I could not even begin to see what the choices were. Here are some data that may be relevant (but I'm not sure): UEFI BIOS Version 8DET66WW (1.36) UEFI BIOS Date 2012-10-22 On the BIOS page, there's a tab for Configuring the Display. It is now set to ThinkPad LCD, but there is an option called "Digital on ThinkPad." Problem is, I don't know what that does. Should I try switching to it? Thanks in advance.
