Removal Of Existing 80gb Wd Hdd And Selection Of A New Hdd (sata/pata)

Hi, I have a Lenovo H series (8789 series to be exact, which doesn't exist in your database unfortunately)). After 5 long years my HDD went dead. I want to replace it with a 500GB WD HDD. However i have two queries- 1. Is the lenovo make compatible with SATA HDD? How does one check if it is compatible or not. 2. I have problems removing the current HDD from the slot. Since it is screwed i have removed the front two screws. However i also notice there are two screws at the back, which i cannot remove since the other side of the cabinet is not removable.  Awaiting your valuable thoughts/suggests. Thanks and regards Dhiraj
