Railings Around Glass Cooktop Are Rotting.

I have a white kitchen aid slide-in range . The paint on  railings surrounding the glass cooktop chips everytime it is hit by a pot and rots whenever liquid is spilled . If I buy new railings, is the quality of the replace,ent parts of a better quality?
