Security Code Re Set
my radio has a security code that I do not know. How do I reset it?

Sending Your RadioBack to Kenwood If all else fails, you can send your stereo back to Kenwood to have the security code reset. During the code request mode, while holding the DISP key depressed, press and hold the Volume UP or DOWN key for 3 seconds (so that "..." disappears). Then using your remote enter your code

As I'm sure you must realize, the purpose of the security code would be defeated if someone could simply recover or reset it. You might find proposed solutions on the Web, but these are hugely expensive and unreliable. Otherwise, if you can't get the code from the seller, you maybe able to get help from Kenwood or a Kenwood dealer. Use the contact information at https://www.contacthelp.com/kenwood/customer-service.
