General Instructions:
Access Voicemail:
Usually by pressing a dedicated voicemail button on the phone or dialing a voicemail access code like *98.
Enter Password:
Enter your voicemail password if prompted. If you don't know it, you might have a default password (often 0000) or need to contact your system administrator.
Mailbox Settings:
Listen to the menu options. Look for an option like "Greetings", "Mailbox Options", or "Personal Settings".
Record New Greeting:
Follow the voice prompts to record your new message. Typically, you'll be asked to record after a tone and press '#' when finished.
Playback and Save:
You'll likely be able to playback your recording. Press the appropriate key to save it if satisfied, or re-record if needed.
Example for Aastra 6757i:
Press the Messages button (envelope icon).
Enter your voicemail password and press '#'.
Press '3' for Personal Options.
Press '2' for Greetings.
Select the greeting type you want to change (Unavailable, Temporary, etc.).
Follow the prompts to record and save your new message.
Important Notes:
Manual: For the most precise instructions, always refer to the user manual for your specific Aastra phone model. You can usually find it by searching online.
System Administrator: If your voicemail is managed by a company or system administrator, you may need to contact them for assistance changing your message.
