Hard reset
Turn off the car's engine.
Locate the reset button on the top left corner of the stereo. It is a small, recessed button.
Using a straightened paperclip or other pointed object, press and hold the reset button for 10 seconds.
The stereo will power off and then back on.
Soft reset
Turn on the car's engine.
Press and hold the eject button and the volume button simultaneously.
While holding these buttons, press the reset button.
The stereo will power off and then back on.
The hard reset will erase all of the settings on the stereo, including the time, date, and presets. The soft reset will not erase any settings.
If you are having problems with your Kenwood DDX770, resetting it may help to resolve the issue. However, if you are still having problems after resetting the stereo, you may need to contact Kenwood customer support for further assistance.
Here are some additional things to keep in mind when resetting your Kenwood DDX770:
Make sure that the car's engine is turned off before resetting the stereo.
Do not press any other buttons on the stereo while resetting it.
If you are using a paperclip to press the reset button, be careful not to damage the stereo.
