I Have A New Vx7020 That Has A Free Latest Maps Guarantee.need Update Help.
The update is obtained usingnaviextras.com. I get an error message as soon as I plave the SD map card in the computer saying irregular shutdown detected and to follow a sequence of steps and then to reconnect the device to Toolbar. then it states that if the warning is ignored and I proceed with the installation the files may become corrupted. I also read that only the original SD card can be used for security reasons. I can not get rid of this warning and am not about to risk corrupting my original card. Any ideas?

When updating the unit, make certain that power is not interrupted while the update is in progress. If power is lost or interrupted the unit may become inoperable. Also, before starting the update, turn-off Demo Mode in the "Settings Menu" (Go to the Settings Menu > General > Demo Mode > OFF).
