How To Power Off 53sdx20b?

my 53sdx20b will power off but the red led light stays on. it seems like its in a standby mode.. tv works fine just having trouble powering it off completely without pulling out the power cord.

The set is in standby. this is normal. For the set to have power to the remote sensor, it has to be partially on. The only circuits that's on in stand-by is the 12V supply, then it has a couple regulators to keep the microprocessor awake so it will see the pulses from the remote sensor when you press the power button on the remote or the keyboard on the TV. The only reason the LED is showing is to tell you that it's ready to operate any time you wish.
