Hi How Do You Reset Password For Msa 2040. Have Misplaced The Password
We had set the username and password some time back and now we have forgotten the same and would like to reset. When I connect to the CLI it required login details. Ie username and password Question - how do we reset MSA 2040 password to access CLI

1. Connect through CLI to MSA controller using the USB - Mini USB
2. Install driver for the USB connection.
3. Check COM port on Device Manager from Windows
4. Connect USB to the Mini USB port of the MSA
5. Use Putty, Hyperterminal or any serial emulator.
6. Hit enter to connect to the MSA. It will show the Serial Number of the MSA controller.
7. Enter the following command: login:restoreusers
8. Use MSA controller serial number as password. (case sensitive).
2. Install driver for the USB connection.
3. Check COM port on Device Manager from Windows
4. Connect USB to the Mini USB port of the MSA
5. Use Putty, Hyperterminal or any serial emulator.
6. Hit enter to connect to the MSA. It will show the Serial Number of the MSA controller.
7. Enter the following command: login:restoreusers
8. Use MSA controller serial number as password. (case sensitive).
Once the command finish successful, close and open a new serial/ssh or GUI session to login back
to the MSA with defaults users and password.
