M425v Camera Doesnt Work With Windows 8

i have a laptop with windows 8 and my HP M525 camera is not downloading pictures. I have tried downloading software again but it doesn't work with windows 8. Does it mean I have to buy another camera to get one to work?

I recommend taking the SD card out of the camera and putting it in a card reader. The camera is fairly old so it may not work correctly when plugged into a Windows 8 PC.
