Continuing Problem With G3010 Scanner
Again, many thanks to hzplj9 for the further help. I did disable my Norton anti-virus and firewall for the most recent two attempts at re-installing. I'm pretty much defeated and have ordered an HP G4010 scanner. I hope that the install sequence for that doesn't come up to the same problem !

Sorry about your problems with the G3010. Although the G 4010 is in the same series of scanners, the 3010 may have has hardware issues.
