Was There Two System Boards For The Bl465c G1 Server?

The BL465C i was told had to system boards made for this unit the first one being 418269-001 and the second im not sure.. my question is which model is the newer system board and was the manufacuterer date 2008?

The motherboard model you list is the first model of motherboard used in the BL465c G1 blade. That model can only take four cores (either 2x dual core or 1x quad core up to Opteron 2356). That motherboard is crippled so it can only take a total of four cores.

The other motherboard model for the BL465c G1, possibly available from HP with a support contract, is supposed to be able to take 2x quad-core CPUs but I've not been able to confirm that as fact.

If you have support, you may be able to get HP to replace the motherboard with the other BL465c G1 motherboard model so you can put 2x quad-core CPUs in it.
