Will This Printer Be Compatible With Our New Pc?

A friend gave this printer to us. We don't know how old it is. The hp guy at the retail store said a printer built prior to 2009 will not be compatible with our new pc which has a Windows 8 o/s. Can you please help me out? Thank you! The model # is SDGOB-0301-02

Yes. HP 2410 is compatible with your Windows 8 computer because the driver software for Windows 8 is available for download at HP website. Here's the link to the download page:
