Hdmi Stopped Working

I have owned a AVR 247 for several years. I used it to hook up my tv, dvd, and cable box all together. The HDMI on the input for the TV stopped working, so now I can't use it to intergrate all of my units. I have tried to re set the unit but it still does the same thing. Is there a repair available for this unit?

Doing a factory reset will return all settings to factory default so you will have to completely setup the receiver again. The reset procedure is very simple. Put the receiver in Standby mode (turn it off ), then press and hold the Tone Mode button on the front panel for more than 5 seconds. "Reset" will flash on the display and the receiver will convert all settings back to the way they were when you first bought it. And maybe the HDMI output will start working again. If not then more than likely the HDMI board has been damaged or stopped functioning properly and the receiver will have to be repaired which might not make financial sense.

If the HDMI doesn't work correctly after the reset you can convert the connections to component for video and optical/coaxial digital for audio but of course, you will lose the benefits of HDMI. Otherwise, you'll need to buy a new receive since that one might not be worth repairing.
