Local Area Connection Is Missing

I lost my local area connection some how. It just disappeared. How do I get it back?

1.Go to control panel

start-->control panel-->network connection in classic view-->right click on Local Area Connection--->properties-->general tab-->check the box below for "show icon in notification area"

2.If you don't have control panel link in your start menu then

Press windows icon key in your keyboard and hit R--->type control -->OK
Rest is same as above.

(or)

Try to uninstall it.Restart and again reinstall on windows startup.
