This error is extensively explored at http://bit.ly/1QfWSGJ. There's also on that page a link to a simple repair utility for that error.

This answer, directly from the Epson site (but for a different question) worked for my WF 3620:

Delete the EPAUDF01.AUD file.

Note: Removal of this temporary file is not an option in Windows 8.x or OS X.

Follow the instructions below to delete this temporary file.

Windows 7 and Windows Vista:

  1. Click the button and click Computer or My Computer.
  2. Double-click the C: drive and locate the ProgramData folder.
  3. Open the ProgramData folder and double-click the EPSONfolder.
  4. Double-click the PRINTER folder.
  5. Right-click the EPAUDF01.AUD file and click Delete.
  6. Restart your computer.
  7. Try printing again.

If you do not see the ProgramData folder, try the following to unhide it:

  1. Click the Organize button on the Menu Bar.
  2. Scroll down and click Folder and search options. A Folder Options window appears.
  3. Click the View tab. Under the Advanced settings section, locate the Show hidden files, folders, and drives option and select the radio button. Click OK.

Windows XP:

  1. Click Start and select My Computer.
  2. Double-click the C: drive and open the Documents and Settings folder.
  3. Double-click the All Users folder.
  4. Open the Application Data folder and double-click the EPSONfolder.
  5. Double-click the PRINTER folder.
  6. Right-click the EPAUDF01.AUD file and click Delete.
  7. Restart your computer.
  8. Try printing again.

If you do not see the Application Data folder, try the following to unhide it:

  1. Click the Tools option on the Menu Bar and select Folder Options. A new window appears.
  2. Select the View tab. Under the Advanced settings section locate the Show hidden files, folders, and drives option and select the radio button. Click OK.
