How Do I Remove The Waste Ink Tank In My Epson Stylus Pro 10600?

I bought this printer about 15 years ago. After years of production and thousands of prints, it's time to say goodbye. I'd like to remove the waiste ink tank before we carry it down a flight of stairs. I'm worried if I don't, it will leak ink all over the place. Epson support was no help. If anyone can help I'd really appreciate it. Thanks!!

Starting on page 220 the procedure for check the amount of ink remaining & how to check the waste ink tank.The manual states that if the waste tank needs replacing that you should contact a service tech. the manual gives no instructions on how to replace the the tank.
