Range Hood Fan Not Working

We have model RH36WC55GS range hood fan.  A message came on that said to clean charcoal filter.  Our fan does not hava a charcoal filter.  WE cleaned the grease filter and tried to re-set and the fan clicks but does not turn on.  The light and clock work.  Do we just need to reset using the arrow buttons or what?

Hi Mel,

Below are a few basic troubleshooting tips that may help you resolve this issue:

  • First double-check that the filters are properly in place.
  • Next, reset your range hood by depressing the up/down arrow buttons concurrently for about five seconds. After this action, the hood should have the normal display operation and your fan should work properly.
  • If the hood doesn't switch ON, check if the internal General ON/
OFF Push-button Switch is switched to ON. (See graphic)

If you have exhausted all of the above steps and your fan is still experiencing these issues, then you may need to connect with the manufacturer to locate an authorized service tech.

Best of luck!
