Printer Not Responding Issue

just got new dell xps 8500 17-3770 processor using windows 7. installed cd for hp 6700 printer, getting meessage "printer not responding" how do i fix please?

You printer is not responding properly because the driver software may be outdated or corrupted. The best solution for this is reinstallation of the driver software. You can find the latest driver softwar for this printer at HP website. Here's the link:
