Hi, if the computer booted up fine with your old RAM but won't boot up with the new RAM, either the RAM is bad, it's installed incorrectly, or it's the wrong type for your computer.
You can use the Crucial system scanner to see whsat type of RAM your Optiplex requires. The tool will automatically scan your system and tell you. If the RAM you have in now is the right kind, make sure you have placed it in the correct slots (some computers require memory to be in slot 0 if it's only 1 stick, for example).
