Dell D500 Hard Drive Driver

i want to install 80 gb hard drive, but the system not allowing

Actually, you do not need a driver software for the hard disk drive because storage devices like hard disks, flash drives, external hard disks, CDs and DVDs are plug-and-play devices. Your Dell Latitude D500 does not recognize your hard disk because it might not be compatible with each other.

According to Cnet, your Dell Latitude D500 is compatible with portable hard  disks. You can purchase these types of hard disks at Amazon.com. Here's the link:
