Compaq / Hp 8710w Loading Windows Calculator

My 8710w, automatically loads multiple copies of windows calculator, many times, for no apparant reason. It will load over 100 copies of the calculator on it's own. Please help

I believe it had to do with motion detection sensitivity (for hard drive protection?) in earlier BIOS versions.

I too was having terrible problems on F.03 with my 8710W. Updated BIOS to F.20. Seems stable now. ;-)
