Cant Set It Up

Just bought the printer and I cant start setting it up because it just keeps saying remove protective material or tape. How do I get past this?

Obviously, your Canon iP4500 printer is telling you that you need to remove the tape inside. Tapes on several parts of the printer are actually protective tapes from static. Please remove that tape to start setting up and using your printer. It is also better if you read the user's manual here:
